Beijing - China seriously study the art of traditional gamelan music of Indonesia, said a senior lecturer Beijing Central Conservatory of Music, Zhu Zhoujian on Saturday.

"At the moment we have a set of Java and Balinese gamelan and will be added in the next year," he said, told Reuters on the sidelines of a series of cultural performances Indonesian Arts Institute (ISI) Solo in Beijing.

Not only that, added Zhou Zhoujian, it has been regularly send their students to Indonesia to study in depth the art of Javanese and Balinese gamelan.

"We also have plans to send more students to Indonesia to study gamelan," he said.
