The establishment of this company stems from efforts to increase non-oil exports. The company was founded in 1985 by the Government of Indonesia under Government Regulation No. 20 of 1983.
ASEI engaged in insurance and guarantees to support the development of national non-oil exports.
ASEI has specialized products to cover the risks borne by exporters and banks, namely the risk of failure of payment of exports, both the repayment of export credits extended to the exporters bank (Credit Insurance) and the payment of export transactions of foreign importers to exporters (Export Insurance).
